Financial Literacy – Financial support for your future
Posted on April 8th, 2019
LOOKING after your finances comes with its challenges.
But CentacareCQ‘s Family and Relationship Counsellor and Professional Supervisor Cleone Heath is giving people in Bundaberg the opportunity to educate themselves.
Her workshop “Financial Literacy” encompasses a range of subjects including:
• Why do people fall into debt?
• Behaviours, events and structure that make us vulnerable to debt
• How brain function impacts spending
• Budgeting
• Financial health checks
Cleone said the workshop was proving a success after conducting two workshops – one to CentacareCQ aged care clients and one at Impact for the Young Parents Group.
She said she will be running regular workshops at Headspace for the Get Set for Work program.
“We also have plans to work with Uniting Care to deliver workshops together in Bundaberg,” she said.
