This 12 month fixed-term contract is a fantastic opportunity to join CatholicCare Central Queensland as an Accounts Receivable Officer, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments while contributing to the smooth running of our financial operations.

About the Role

The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for managing incoming payments for goods and services, recording transactions accurately, and resolving discrepancies to secure revenue.

Key responsibilities include:

🔹Generate and send invoices accurately and promptly

🔹Record and apply incoming payments to the correct accounts

🔹Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger regularly

🔹Address customer inquiries and disputes regarding invoices and payments

🔹Prepare reports on accounts receivable status, including aging analysis and collection metrics

🔹Ensure all activities comply with CatholicCare policies and guideline

🔹Maintain accurate records of all transactions

🔹Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

🔹Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and streamline processes

What We’re Looking For

🔹Certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

🔹Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounts receivable or similar role

🔹Current C Class Driver’s Licence

You will also demonstrate:

🔹High level of accuracy and attention to detail

🔹Strong verbal and written communication skills

🔹Effective problem-solving abilities

🔹Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and basic procurement systems

🔹Ability to work independently and as part of a team

🔹Commitment to ethical practices, integrity, and compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements
