CatholicCare joined CQUniversity earlier this month for the CQUniCares Academic Prizes and Scholarships celebration in Rockhampton.

The special event brought together Rockhampton-based students who received a 2024 academic prize and the generous community partners who help make the awards possible.

Anna Morris, Chief Operating Officer, attended the event on behalf of CatholicCare, joining in the celebration of student success.

At the heart of CQUniversity is the desire to make a difference, an ethos we share through our ongoing support of education initiatives and the next generation of care professionals.

Each year, CatholicCare proudly donates three academic prizes across the Gladstone, Mackay, and Rockhampton regions.

These awards recognise the most promising graduating students in the Certificate III in Individual Support program, acknowledging the care and commitment these students bring to their studies and future careers.

CatholicCare also contributes the Sister Anne-Marie Kinnane Legacy Scholarship, awarded to a deserving third-year Bachelor of Social Work student.

The scholarship honours one of our founders, Sister Anne-Marie, and her enduring legacy of service to the Central Queensland community.

While our academic prize recipient was unable to attend on the night, we were pleased to celebrate their achievement and those of all students recognised through the CQUniCares program.

Collectively, their achievements signal a bright future for Central Queensland.
