Counselling
Our counselling and psychology services offer a safe, confidential space to explore feelings and challenges with the support of trained professionals.
Available to individuals, couples, families, and children, our services can be accessed with or without a referral and cover a wide range of issues, including trauma, grief, stress, relationship challenges, parenting, and more.
Through our Care to You counselling program, we can also provide support to isolated individuals, such as palliative care patients or those unable to leave their homes.
Additionally, we offer tailored support for school-aged children dealing with issues like anxiety, bullying, or family changes, ensuring compassionate care for everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your first counselling session is all about getting to know you. It’s a chance to talk about your goals and what you can expect from counselling. Your counsellor will ask some questions to learn more about you, like what kind of support you prefer and how they can best help. They might ask about things like your family, friendships, or school/work life. Together, you’ll chat about the issues you’d like to focus on and decide how often to meet. Your counsellor will also explain how counselling works so you know what to expect.
Finding the right person to support you makes a big difference. It’s important to feel comfortable being open and honest with your counsellor. If you ever feel like the relationship isn’t working for you, don’t be afraid to speak up. Your counsellor will understand and will be happy to help you find someone who is a better fit for your needs.
All of our counsellors are generalists, which means they can help with a wide range of issues. Some of our counsellors have extra training in areas like trauma, addiction, or sexual abuse. If a counsellor feels they aren’t the best person to support your specific needs, they will work with you to find someone who can.
Yes, our counsellors can work with school-aged children. The first appointment for a child session is usually with a parent only present. In some of our service areas, child counselling may be referred to our Family Relationship Centre.
