Social Groups take a trip down memory lane
Posted on September 5th, 2022
Rockhampton and Yeppoon Social Groups recently joined together to take a trip down memory lane and explore the historic wonders of the Rockhampton Heritage Village.
Climbing aboard the Village Tram to view the restored relics of days gone by, from steam engines to schools, fire stations to hospitals, there was something to pique everyone’s interests.
Yeppoon client, Charmaine, said she did not want to miss out on capturing all of the special attractions on her camera.
“It’s been a while since I last visited the Heritage Village and so much has changed,” Charmaine said while taking her photos.
“I have come here with my family in the past, but I get too tired to walk the whole way around the village – it is just so big.
“This tram is perfect because I get to see everything!”
One tram ride was simply not enough to capture all the historic beauty, so they convinced their tram driver for an encore before tucking into a delicious lunch.
