Sun, sand, and Beach Day Out smiles

The CatholicCare Team donned brightly coloured T-shirts and hit the coast to attend the annual Beach Day Out celebrations in Emu Park.

Hundreds of attendees enjoyed a morning of entertainment, games, stalls and adorable farm animals.

NDIS support coordinator Kaitlyn said the morning was a huge success with crowds visiting the CatholicCare stall to participate in a range of fun activities and learn about the disability supports and services available.

“Patrons enjoyed contributing to our Mural of Painted Handprints and making stress balls from balloons and rice,” she said.

“We also had a game of coils which was quite popular among the children who were there.”

CatholicCare NDIS client Michael said he was looking forward to exploring the event to see what was new.

“It’s a great opportunity to see what services and supports are out there,” Michael said.

“There’s heaps to see and do too, like getting your hand painted for a mural, patting the horses and even a kissing booth where you can get a kiss from an assistance dog.”
