Supporting Adolescent Boys Program
CatholicCare’s Supporting Adolescent Boys Program helps young men aged 12 to 18 build trust, confidence and healthier ways to manage challenges.
The program is for boys who have experienced or been exposed to family, domestic or sexual violence, as well as those who are using or at risk of using family, domestic or sexual violence.
Based in Rockhampton, the program offers one-on-one counselling, personalised activities and group-based social sessions in a welcoming, youth-focused space. The space has been co-created by the boys who use it, helping participants feel a sense of belonging from day one.
Each young person receives support shaped around their needs, interests and circumstances. Activities may include fishing, basketball, cooking, music or other recreational options that help build trust, connection and positive social skills.
The program is free and confidential. It is funded by the Department of Social Services.
